2024/25 school year

The waiting list for the 2024/25 school year is closed. We cannot accept anymore names onto it.

We have a full-time waiting list (5 afternoons) and a part-time waiting list(2 or 3 afternoons). Once offered, a full-time place cannot be reduced nor a part-time place increased. If a parent wishes to change their child's attendance, they must go on the other waiting list and wait for a place to become available. Part-time places are offered opposite each other so parents may express preferred days but Explorers may not be able to accomodate these days.

Explorers Afterschool will re-open at the beginning of the new school year as usual. We plan to run our services alongside each school's calendar. Explorers' calendar is in the Parent Information Pack.

We will be operating within the Government's guidelines and in tandem with school requirements.

Explorers' Stepaside Educate Together NS

We offer afterschool care to the children from SETNS from 1.10 - 6.10 every day during the school year, and full time camps during 3 weeks holidays (Dates on the Camps page)

Fees for 2023/24 school year

We will offer full day camps during Hallowe'en midterm, the first week of Easter holidays and during May mid-term. Camp will run from 9.00 - 17.00. Children will be expected to attend on their normal days of attendance.

Fees for these camps are included in the 4 weekly fee.

We will not run camps during the other school holidays.

There will be no increase in fees for the 2023/24 school year.

13.10 - 18.10 (Junior\senior infants)

5 day week - €619 per 4 week invoice per child

3 day week - €401 per 4 week invoice per child

2 day week - €280 per 4 week invoice per child

14.10 - 18.10 (1st - 6th Class)

5 day week - €562 per 4 week invoice per child

3 day week - €365 per 4 week invoice per child

2 day week - €256 per 4 week invoice per child

There is strictly no reduction in fees due to absenteeism, maternity/parental leave, holidays, sickness, parents extended holidays or Covid-19.

The above fees are payable 4 weekly from September to June. Dates that fees are due are on the NCS page.

A deposit of €200 is due on acceptance of a place in Explorers' Afterschool. This deposit is deducted from your last invoice. The deposit will be refunded when notice is given before the next invoice date. ie deposit is deducted from your last invoice.

Notice must be given before 1st April each year if your child is not returning in the new school year. Failure to give notice by 1st April will result in the loss of your deposit.
