Scoil bhlian 2024/25

The waiting list for the 2024/25 school year is full. We cannot accept anymore names onto it.

We have a full-time waiting list (5 afternoons) and a part-time waiting list(2 or 3 afternoons). Once offered, a full-time place cannot be reduced nor a part-time place increased. If a parent wishes to change their child's attendance, they must go on the other waiting list and wait for a place to become available. Part-time places are offered opposite each other so parents may express preferred days but Explorers may not be able to accomodate these days.

Explorers Afterschool SL will reopen in line with the school calendar.

We will be operating within the Government's guidelines and in tandem with school requirements.

Is í an Ghaeilge teanga chaidreamh Explorers’ Scoil Lorcáin go hiomlán. Is í an Ghaeilge a labhróidh na páistí lena chéile agus leis na stiúrtheoirí an t-am ar fad. Déantar é seo i dtimpeallacht Ghaelach a chuireann béim ar ár n-oidhreacht agus ár gcultúr.

Irish is the communicative language of Explorers’ Scoil Lorcáin. It is through Irish that the children will speak to each other and to the Leaders. We strive to achieve this in an environment that nurtures children’s love of our Irish culture.

Bíonn Explorers' Scoil Lorcáin ar oscailt ó 2.15 go dtí 6.15 gach lá i rith na bliana scoile.

Tá áit i gcúram na scoile, ó 1.15 - 2.15, do aon páistí ó naíonán shóisir nó shinsir atá cláraithe le Explorers'. Caifear dul i dteagmháil leis an scoil chun é seo a eagrú.

Bíonn feitheoireacht ar obair bhaile scríofa gach lá. San áireamh sna táillí ná gníomhaíochtaí éagsúile gach seachtain. Siad na gníomhaiíctaí an tearma seo ná Ceol agus Rince.

Explorers' Scoil Lorcáin is open from 2.15 - 6.15 everyday during the school year.

All Naíonán registered in Explorers will have a space in the school Cúram from 1.15 - 2.15 each day. Please contact the school directly to organise this.

We supervise all written homework.

Táillí/Fees

Táillí don scoilbhlian 2023/24 Fees for 2023/24 school year

I measc na taillí thíos tá campa do 3 sheachtaine le linn an scoil bhliain. Seachtain ag Oíche Shamhna, an chéad seachtain de na saoire Cásca agus seachtain i mBealtaine i rith an mean tearma.

Béimíd ar oscailt ó 09.00 - 17.00 i rith na gcampaí.

Ní bheidh campaí á rith ins na saoire eile. Tá na táillí mar an gcéanna gach mí i rith na bliana beag beann ar laethanta saoire.

We will offer full time camps during Hallowe'en midterm, February mid-term and the first week of Easter holidays. Camp will run from 9.00 - 17.00. We would expect the children would attend on their normal days of attendance.

Fees for these camps are included in the 4 weekly fee.

We will not run camps during the other school holidays.

There will be no increase in fees for the 2023/24 school year.

5 day week - €562 per 4 week invoice per child

3 day week - €365 per 4 week invoice per child

2 day week - €256 per 4 week invoice per child

Níl aon laghdú ar thaillí mar gheall ar bhreoiteacht, neamhláithreacht nó laethanta saoire.

Tá taisce €200 le n-íoc nuair a ghlachtear spás in Explorers.

Caifear fógra scríte thabhairt chun leanamh a thógail amach as Explorers nó na laethanta a aistríu roimh a seolann muid an céad inbhíocht eile. Muna dtugtar an fógra seo, coimeadfimid an taisce. Nuair a thugtar an fógra, bainfear an taisce as taillí an inbhíocht dearnach.

There will be a 10% reduction for 2nd and subsequent children from one family if they attend on a full time basis.

There is strictly no reduction in fees due to absenteeism, maternity/parental leave, holidays, sickness, parents extended holidays or Covid-19.

The above fees are payable 4 weekly from September to June. Dates that fees are due are on the NCS page.

A deposit of €200 is due on acceptance of a place in Explorers' Afterschool. This deposit is deducted from your last invoice. The deposit will be refunded when notice is given before we issue the next invoice. ie deposit is deducted from your last invoice.

Notice must be given before 1st April each year if your child is not returning in the new school year. Failure to give notice by 1st April will result in the loss of your deposit.
